LEARN TO DRIVE CANADA
🚘 LTD Canada Driving Instructor Policies
At Learn to Drive Canada, we’re committed to building a platform of trust, safety, and professionalism — for both instructors and learners. These policies set clear expectations for how instructors should operate on our platform to ensure a positive and consistent experience across Canada.
🧾 1. Instructor Eligibility
To be approved and remain active on the LTD Canada platform, instructors must:
-
Hold a valid provincial or territorial Driving Instructor Licence
-
Provide proof of vehicle insurance and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy
-
Submit a current background check and child safety clearance (where required)
-
Maintain all certifications and legal requirements relevant to their location
-
Operate within the legal scope of their provincial laws for driving instruction
🧑🏫 2. Professional Conduct
All instructors on LTD Canada are expected to maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times. This includes:
-
Respectful behavior toward all learners, regardless of age, gender, background, or ability
-
Refraining from discriminatory or inappropriate language
-
Wearing appropriate attire while instructing
-
Maintaining clear, respectful communication before and after lessons
-
Never soliciting off-platform payments or services
⏱️ 3. Availability & Scheduling
To ensure a smooth booking experience for learners:
-
Keep your availability calendar updated at all times
-
Respond to booking requests and messages promptly (within 24 hours)
-
Honour all confirmed bookings unless there’s an emergency or valid reason
-
Give at least 24 hours’ notice when needing to reschedule a lesson
❌ 4. Cancellations & No-Shows
We understand that plans change, but professionalism is key:
-
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance
-
Repeated cancellations or last-minute no-shows may result in account suspension
-
In the event of a learner no-show, instructors should document the situation via the platform for review
👨👩👧 5. Student Safety & Comfort
As a trusted instructor, your role includes safeguarding the physical and emotional safety of your learners:
-
Ensure your vehicle is clean, safe, and regularly maintained
-
Carry your instructor licence during all lessons
-
Do not use mobile phones or engage in any distractions while instructing
-
Avoid physical contact, except in the rare case of an emergency to prevent harm
-
Be especially sensitive when teaching minors or new drivers
🚗 6. Vehicle Requirements
Your vehicle must meet the following standards:
-
Be insured, licensed, and roadworthy
-
Have dual controls (where required by your province)
-
Be clean and free of distractions or clutter
-
Display LTD Canada signage or decals when provided (if applicable)
🛠️ 7. Platform Use & Compliance
To maintain the integrity of LTD Canada:
-
All lesson bookings must go through the platform. Off-platform transactions are strictly prohibited
-
Keep your instructor profile accurate, including photos, pricing, vehicle type, and availability
-
Use the built-in messaging system for all communications with learners
-
Accept payments only through LTD’s secure system — not by cash or private channels
📣 8. Feedback, Ratings & Disputes
LTD Canada relies on transparent feedback to build trust:
-
Encourage learners to leave honest reviews after lessons
-
Refrain from pressuring or incentivizing reviews
-
You may contact support if you believe a rating is unfair or misleading
-
Consistently poor ratings may lead to a review or removal from the platform
📚 9. Support & Resources
We’re here to help you succeed:
-
Access the Instructor Dashboard to manage bookings and update details
-
Use the LTD Help Center for articles, guides, and video walkthroughs
-
Reach our Support Team via chat or email 24/7 for any questions or technical issues
⚠️ 10. Policy Violations & Account Suspension
Violating these policies may result in:
-
Temporary or permanent account suspension
-
Removal of reviews or visibility from search results
-
Investigation by the LTD Canada compliance team
-
Legal reporting, where required by provincial law
All instructors will receive written notice and an opportunity to respond before any permanent action is taken (except in severe cases).
Our goal is to build a trusted, flexible, and rewarding environment for instructors and learners alike. Your professionalism helps make that possible.
